Four beaches and one lake, all from one beachside apartment. If you have a few days, or longer, perhaps you want to recapture the fun of being together, alone, just like days past, or are you visiting Australia and want to stay outside Sydney (where Sydneysiders also choose to live), then the northern beaches is the centre of the best location in Sydney.
Nothing beats watching the sunrise from the top of our nearby headland (see 2. below) ... here's the proof!
Sydney Harbour (4.) may be pretty... Yes! But if you travel internationally, most cities are similar.
The great Sydney difference is the beaches and the bushland that surrounds it.
The northern coastline starting at Manly (3.) up to Palm Beach (1.) is a mixture of rocky headlands sandy beaches and enchanting bushland. Add to this the inner northern harbour of Pittwater with a National Park for its western shore, and you have a concentrated package the locals enjoy each day, and always hope the secret of just how good it is, never gets out. But you can enjoy it all right from the centre of the action at Warriewood (2.).
Our comfortable self contained apartment located right at the centre of
many of the best features of the Northern Beaches is the perfect spot.
Looking south from the apartment, stretch 7 kms of sandy beaches, Narrabeen and Collaroy, down to Long Reef.
Or ... just below the apartment, walking through the bush down to the Sea Pool and rocks, is a great start to the day.
Or ... Continue on the track to explore the headland and its secluded lookouts and picnic spots,
Or ... walk down to your first northern beach Little Turrimetta, a secluded and deserted beach just below the cliff line.
At the northern end, another tall headland also called Turrimetta, provides a picnic / bushwalk out to it’s point that gives a high 360 degree view of the beaches and headlands both north and south and the many migrating whales that pass close by
Still within easy walking to the north of Turrimetta Headland (3.), another beach, Warriewood (1.), and above the beach, a selection of restaurants (2.).
and ... also just below the apartment, the entrance to Sydney's biggest lake system. Narrabeen lakes is surrounded by paths, National Parks, and all the lake features to make your stay really special.
If you feel like a restaurant meal on the lakeside what could be better to end the day!
Just below the apartment, where the Lake enters the ocean, Narrabeen Beach is also regarded as a prime surfing competition venue.
All the things that make a great beachside bushland holiday are nearby. Its your choice... do as much or as little as you like. Manly Beach by bus is 30 minutes and Sydney from Manly by ferry, another 30 minutes. Alternatively, bus to Sydney is also simple. Palm Beach to the north is around 30 minutes, and once again ferries can take you up river as far as Bobbin Head for lunch.

It's a simple, sunny, cosy, garden, apartment. Two king size single beds can be set together, or apart allowing the apartment to sleep two people.
